Meet the Founders of MRG Evennts

MRG Evennts is led by husband-and-wife co-founders Shalinie and Charrandip Gill, who built the company in Mumbai in 2010. Over 15 years and 2,000+ events, MRG has become a trusted partner for India’s leading corporate brands — across BFSI, technology, pharmaceutical, shipping, and industrial sectors.

Below — a little about who we are, what we believe, and how we work.

Shalinie Gill — Co-founder

Shalinie Gill, Co-founder of MRG Evennts Mumbai

Shalinie leads client relationships and creative direction at MRG Evennts.

Before founding MRG in 2010, Shalinie spent nine years in marketing across the IT services and entertainment industries — working with Aptech Computers, Heliosoft, and Fame Cinemas. Those years shaped the way she thinks about corporate events today: as brand communication moments first, and operational deliverables second.

Her work at Fame Cinemas — where the entire business model revolved around creating experiences for audiences — gave her an early understanding of how production craft and audience emotion intersect. That understanding now shapes how MRG approaches every client brief.

At MRG, Shalinie is usually the first person clients meet and the last person they speak to before an event opens. She sees her job as protecting the client’s intent through every stage of an event — from the initial brief through the final post-event content delivery.

Shalinie holds a B.Com from Mumbai. She works in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Punjabi.

Charrandip Gill — Co-founder

Charrandip Gill, Co-founder of MRG Evennts Mumbai

Charrandip leads production and operations at MRG Evennts.

Before MRG, Charrandip ran his own business for 13 years in plastics moulding and manufacturing — supplying corporate gifts to enterprises across India. That experience built two things that now sit at the centre of MRG’s work: first-principles understanding of production and fabrication, and direct exposure to how corporate buyers think.

While most event company production leads come from hospitality or advertising backgrounds, Charrandip brings a manufacturing mindset. When MRG builds a custom stage with LED truss, hanging sound, and integrated lighting, he understands the materials, the fabrication timelines, and the load-bearing realities — not just the visual outcome.

In 2012, two years after founding MRG, Charrandip completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Event Management (PGDEM) in Mumbai — adding formal industry credentials to his operational expertise.

At MRG, Charrandip is responsible for everything the audience doesn’t see — the pre-show production setup, vendor coordination, and the operational sprint that makes the event day look effortless.

Charrandip holds a B.Sc in Chemistry from Mumbai and works in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Punjabi.

What We Believe About Corporate Events

After 15 years and 2,000+ events, our philosophy has narrowed rather than expanded. We believe two things that shape every brief we take.

The unfashionable details determine whether an event works.

Premium production, big-name anchors, celebrity engagements — these get all the attention, and they rarely determine outcomes. What determines outcomes is the 90-minute window before doors open, the 5-8% recognition density at the awards segment, the photograph delivered to the winner within 48 hours, the catering decisions that quietly make a day or break it.

Across our published case studies — Tres Vista at JW Marriott Juhu, FDC Limited at The Leela, Maersk India at Taj The Trees, Sarjak Containers at The Club, Adweb Technologies’ 25th anniversary, IADC’s 39th Technology Meet — the work that distinguished each event was rarely the visible spectacle. It was the operational specifics most agencies overlook.

Our team’s job is to protect the client’s moment.

When a client invests in a corporate event, they’re investing in a moment that matters — a milestone celebration, a strategic alignment, a recognition that should land with their team or partners. Our job is to absorb the operational complexity so that moment can happen.

At FDC Limited’s annual day, our team worked discreetly through the Managing Director’s 90th birthday tribute so the family’s moment could carry the segment. At IADC’s 39th Technology Meet, the senior ONGC leadership farewell required production that receded rather than performed. At Maersk India’s family day, a 4-day execution sprint meant the client team showed up for their families while we handled everything else.

This is what premium B2B event work looks like, in our view. Quiet operational excellence in service of the client’s moment.
